Can anyone recommend which DLP TV I sould buy?

I had paid for a Samsung SP50L7 via the Internet with Unbeatable (on the back of some really good reviews on this new model) but having waited 8 weeks I cancelled today.

I then read about a few niggles with picture quality and some problems getting Engineers to understand.

So.....can anyone recommend whether I should still go for the Samsung SP50L7 (and if so where they are in stock) or another model?

So far my SP50 has been everything I ever hoped for and more - its superb  I got it from costco because of their excellent returns/full refund policy and 3yr warranty. They have it for £1997 right now - more than pixmania but £250 for the extra warranty and piece of mind is worth it IMO - especially if you've had problems with your previous TV like I did.

I just picked up a Samsung HD850 with HDMI too and the pairing is sublime :smashin:

    KableMan,
Can I ask, is the HDMI on the Sammy 50, a HDMI input or a DVI input???

Yes HDMI - I have both HDMI->HDMI (for my DVD player) and DVI->HDMI (for my PC) cables - I could do with a HDMI switch box now though. I found out last night that the HD850 upscales over component too though so I may use this for my DVD player as its still very sharp without being too harsh - the HDMI looks great but it's digital light can highlight poorer quality DVDs (that looked fine before) - but you can also watch these at 480p or 578p via HDMI too. But its nice to have all these options to play with.

I'm buying an XBOX today to complete my set...well at least until I upgrade my surround system...oh and then theres that dream HTPC...oh and HD-DVD... :)

This is such a fantastic TV!! It also makes normal SD analogue and digital look great too - I find cinema mode tweaked using the THX Video calibration to give the best picture results - skin tones look real and colours are bright and vibrant :smashin:

Many thanks for the replies - I'll go with costco given the warranty. I've had a look on their website and there is one opening in Bristol in early June.

I also think I'll stick with the Samsung 50"
