    Hi,

Just joined the forum and would appreciate it if anyone could give me some advise in purchasing a new set.
Have been toying with buying a plasma but have decided to stick with CRT as screen quality is most important to me.

I'm after a 32" preferably with component in. Which is currently the best one availible?

Is pixel plus 2 just as good as progressive scan?

Should i just forget about component in's????

Have got my eye on Philips 32PW9509, anyone got one of these????

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks

    Stu :smashin:

32" with component in? I would recommend the Toshiba 32ZP48 or maybe the new Panasonic PD50 - but I am not sure when this will be released.

I have not tried the Philips but if you do a search, I am sure there will be a lot of threads

Hi I too am new and posted this thread on the Philips 32pw9618 or the 32pw9509

    http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158210&highlight=32pw9618

Both look good and although the 9618 is an older model seems to have more positive comments in other threads - better picture and sound, fewer problems reported and on paper has the same or better spec.

So I decided to go for the 9618 which should be arriving, the link in the thread is also for the cheapest 9618 I could find £700 when I looked but now up to £780.
