Hi,
I am looking to buy a Tv for my room so i dont want anythng too, too fancy but i do want a reasonably good one. I hear Sony do the best screens so i was looking at them. I have roughly 400-475 to spend. I did look at the S3000or the P3020 on the sony website but just wanted to know what any of you guys think. Thanks.

Agreed S3000 the way to go

Hi mate, the link doesnt seem to be working but thanks anyway. I also had a look at the samsung LE32M87BDX. Also do you know what 100hz on a TV means. Cheers

Hi, thanks for the link. I was browsing different threads and people are talking about 24p so was wondering what this is and if this TV (s3000) had it or if any other tvs of this price range had it. Also any ideas what 100hz thing is aswell.

So does the S3000 (sony) or the LE32M87BDX (samung) have 24p? If not any other tvs that have this?

Only the M87 has 24p.24P is a feature that worth. However between the two sony is a better television.

so would you recommend the samsung then if it has the 24p as it appears that it is well worth getting this feature now?

No, the Sony D3000 ^^^

the d3000 it too expensive for me so its either the s3000, LE32M87BDX (as it has 24p) or another 32" with 24p/100hz.

Hmm still S3000.Also look at Toshiba 32CV503

Do you watch Blu-ray or HD movies? If not, do you need 24p?

i dont watch blu-ray at the moment but as i have a ps3 and what with blu-ray coming more into play i probably will start watching them in the near future.

Maybe get the Samsung then...I've never liked the shiny bezel on them, but it's not for me :D
