My own preference is for the sammy.

When I looked at the tosh, the image seemed to degrade significantly if you weren't looking straight on

IMO The Samsung looks a bit bling whilst Tosh is a bit sleeker looking but thats just my personal preference. I think the Tosh may have the edge with SD performance and its cheaper but the viewing angle can be a let down.

I think if you go for either I don't think you'll regret it...just don't buy from Pixmania.

Although part of the Dixons group they are based in France. This means the goods may be shipped from France and may come with continental power leads and French language manuals (at least my camera did). Also make sure you read the small print about the warranty - any additional warranty you get (ie more than one year) may entail sending the tv back to France. If you have any problems correspondence usually has to go to France....

and I don't know if they are covered by UK trading laws.

as has been stated it's time to go and view the tv's in person at a store and make your own mind up, you can't keep asking the same question week after week at some point your going to have to take the plunge, in the end it's you that has to live with the choice so it's you that has to make it.
