Where's the best place to get a JVC HM-5U from?

    As the title really, does anyone know a good supplier to get the JVC HM-5U DVHS machine from?

    I've used them a few times. I've had no problems with them. Does that machine play D-Theatre tapes?

    Hi Richard,

    No, haven't bought the 5U yet.

    How did your extension/conversion go? I still miss that G70 you know. Nothing I've seen to date has got close to the picture quality.

    Still haven't moved yet, so the 'new projector' plan is still on hold.

    The extension is not finished yet, so the G70 is still on the floor! This is a winter project, as is the Westfield car, the motorbike and the new garage :)
    DVD's just don't compare with the HDTV pictures you showed me on your system.

    You know you want another projector :devil:

    does the 5u do dts? i cant see why it wouldnt just cant see it listed on any of the specs!

    I am interested in getting one of these but can anyone tell me what the fundamental difference is. Any suggestion as to which is better?

    DH5U is the latest generation model with HDMI out.
    AFAIK the DH40000U is already discontinued.
