Hi all,

Can anyone direct me to an online classifieds community suitable for Home Theater here in the UK?
I'm thinking of selling my Barco 1209 and recently posted an add at this forum, but M2N kindly deleted my message and suggested that I could not use the forum for private sales.
Any coordinates would be very much appreciated!

    Thanks
Thomas

You can post an ad on uk.media.home-cinema and you'd not get flamed on uk.media.dvd

    Other than that, www.loot.com ?

As most people sell their projectors because they are upgrading. I'd be interested to know why you are selling. It would have to be some projector to beat a 1209!

I agree that this forum should be kept sales free and even the placing of this thread is tricky. I too would go for the HCC classified route

I am looking to upgrade my 800. If yours it still up for grabs, let me know where it is advertised or email me with the date/run time/price.

If the price is right, cash is waiting to burn a hole in your pocket. Talking about burn, are the tubes etc clean and clear with no burns, as the 9" tubes are expensive.

Assume the 1209 can handle 1080p.

Reply to this or email direct if the rules allow.

    Regards

    Nathan

    1209s tubes are £1968 each!

They are permanently bonded to the Rear C element which makes it very difficult to judge tube wear. Even if you take the lenses off you may not see damage. Speaks one of experience

    nfordenfield you have mail.
