Just wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions where to put my screen and PJ (No rudddeeee suggestions thank you!!). I've included 2 photos of how the room is setup now. Personally I wanted the sofa to go across the room so that the screen was infront of the window BUT the missus had other ideas.

If you can't move the sofa etc, you could have the screen come down in front of the tv. That way you get to keep everything where it is. It'll probably effect your center speaker though.

If you want a smaller screen, then project onto it against the wall behind the tv maybe. At least with those options you don't have to change anything around.

I was thinking about the wall behind the TV but I was coming to the conclusion that it was too high up but its hard to tell without projecting onto it to see. Not sure I like the idea of the screen in the middle of the room.

I think I'll have a go at moving the sofa and seeing how much I can push the missus into seeing it "MY WAY" :smashin:

Too high can cause neck strain after a while, but if the screen is hidden in the ceiling, once it's down, you won't see anything else except the movie, so you woudn't know it was in the middles of the room. ;)

Rearanging is probably better, providing you've still a SWMBO with you afterwards.

You could always get the pj first and see what it's like on the wall before you move stuff around. The other half might like the idea of moving furniture after seeing 'the big picture'. :)

Room dimensions would be helpful....... doesn't look like there's a lot of distance between the sofa and tv... could be that pics are misleading...... you should bear in mind that you would want to be sitting 1.5x screen width away from the screen...............

    Well spotted Sean - I didn't notice that. :)

That eliminates the screen in front of the tv then.

Would like to see what the rearanged room looks like thoug. ;)

I've tried it with the sofa under the window and the missus likes it. Welcome to total rearrange and rewire :suicide:

From the pics I dont see that helping much. You've now got a door to contend with too.

I had to position my screen to dropdown in front of the tv to get a comfortable viewing height. This in turn meant I had to shift the center speaker off the top of the tv.

Well I've moved everything about and it all fits nicely. The TV is just to the right of the kitchen door, hifi rack next to that then right front hard up in the corner. The screen I have should go above (Electric 6ft4 wide).

    Well thats the plan!
