I have just purchased Altec Lansing 621 speakers for my PC,problem is they dont have a headphone socket.Im in the UK(Scotland)and was wondering where i could buy a stereo socket that would take a 6.35mm headphone jack.I was just going to drill a hole in the casing at the back of the subwoofer and solder in a jack socket so i could use headphones, can anyone help?thanks!

Most if not all electronic shops (Maplin, Tandy or whatever they are called).
But it may not be as easy as you think: the headphone must disconnect the internal amp when plugged in and usually has a small amplifier inside the equipment specifically for the headphone socket, ie. it's not a line level nor a speaker level signal.
