If you really want the cheapest you'll need to import from Germany or Japan. However, if you've been following the threads here and elsewhere you may have seen there are some reliability issues with a few examples of the AE100. Also it is strongly advisable to buy from somewhere where you can check for dead pixels in objectionable positions.

I would recommend finding the lowest UK price you can (a moving target on popular products in short supply) then negotiating with your local Panasonic Technics centre. I beleive most of them are prepared to be reasonable about price matching.

I got my AE100 from your back door, well nearly. I ordered one from Eric Allcock in Tunstall, and picked it up from the Kidsgrove store, It was all done over the phone for £1400, no pixel check from here, they don't no nothing about projectors, but they will get one for you.

I got my Sony from PRC in London (www.prcdirect.co.uk) but they had Panasonic's in stock 3 weeks ago.

    Their on-line price is £1,295

I'd suggest getting a Barclaycard for payment as they do a price-promise. I managed to get £500 back from them yesterday when they matched www.go2camcorder.co.uk !!

Total Panasonic are selling the PT100 fro 1239.99 but they are not in stock of course. I've been waiting since mid March (with a telephone price of £1230:eek: , must be a grey import but who cares as long there are no dead pixels

It's a permanent feature of Barclaycard as far as I can see. You must pay for the item in full, it must be over £50 and differences claimed within 60 days. Checkout the Barclaycard website.
