Hi,

I'm in for buying a new tv next week, but it's so confusing to find the right one, since the info is at different places not the same...

Philips 65PUS8303
Philips 65PUS7303

On a shopping website, it states that the 8303 has got a 100hz refresh rate, 7803 only 50hz, but when looking on the site of Philips, it states this for both models:

4K UHD 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz. It's so confusing, can anyone help me out? I would say the Philips website is right, but I found out that some specs are wrong too on that site...

Does anyone know a RELIABLE source with all the right specs?

thanks! It remains to me a mystery why the Philips site is wrong with its own specs...

Looking at the Philips site they only list the input accepted, in which case they're correct:
Detailed specifications on 65PUS7303/12

All TVs from all brands are currently limited to accepting 50/60hz at 3840x2160 because the HDMI 2.0 connection can't handle any higher. You need DisplayPort or the upcoming HDMI 2.1 for that.

So higher refresh rate panels are exclusively for the use of the TV's apps and motion interpolation system, as well as potentially making it easier to accomodate awkward refresh rates too low to run the panel at directly (i.e. film).

DisplaySpecifications is harvested specs from around the web, and frequently ends up as a composite applying to no particular version of the model so while it's correct on average, mistakes are frequent.

FlatpanelsHD's lineup article suggests the same thing though, the 8303 is typically a 100/120hz panel and the 7303 is typically a 50/60hz panel
