Having heard so many good things about the Domino 20 I'm keen to see one in action. Can anyone suggest where I can get a good demo in/near central London?

    Hi Godfather,

We are not in London but 50 min by train from Victoria or 1 hr by car to Horsham.
We have both the Domino 20 and 20H on permanent demonstration.

    Regards

    Jeff

Jeff could you tell me what's the throw distance required to project onto a 6 foot 16:9 screen? Sorry for being so lazy and not look it up myself!

    Hi Godfather,

The lens on the Domino 20 can be anywhere between 158.4" and 223.2" to fill a 72" wide screen.
You need to allow 12" minimun for the depth of the projector as that's the closest you can get the lens to the rear wall.

With the optical lens shift the projector height is very flexible and it can sit the right way up on a small shelf on the back wall.
Looks better than on a ceiling bracket and easier to run cables to as well.

Thanks for that. I live 10 minutes from Swiss Cottage but I didn't know they sell projectors!

Had a demo this morning at Sevenoaks Swiss Cottage. Those guys are very nice but they're no AV specialist. The pj wasn't setup properly and I was quite disappointed with the image. The colours seemed quite washed out and the picture lacked the detail and punch that I was expecting. Overall this picture quality was probably on a par with a Panasonic AE300 - so something was definitely wrong! The source was an Arcam DV88 sending an interlaced signal to the pj via component. They couldn't get the progressive scan to work properly for some reason.

    Godfather,

It's a shame your demo was disappointing.
The offer of a dem in Horsham still stands

Thanks for the offer Jeff, but I've decided to go for a CRT.
