    ... Absinthe from?

I'm going back to visit Canada and a friend has asked for me to bring some back.
Only just googled it to find out what it is lol.

I have a massive list, some I will probably need help for, so I'll post any questions here.

    Thanks

yea he said this in the e-mail.

two bottles of real wormwood absinthe.

He wanted worcester sauce crisps too, but they've been banned.
And Walkers curry flavored crisps, which seems like they never made, cause I can't find it anywhere on the net.

So all I have found which he wants is Walkers prawn cocktail crisps.:D

    Try this for starters mate.

    http://www.absinthebuyersguide.com/

Believe me that absinthe is real mind bending stuff. :zonked:

Picasso cut off his own ear, bearing in mind that he was an absinthe drinker.

It was Van Gogh, he did it over a woman, while drunk on absinthe.

I got drunk on this once, never ever again.

From what I can google they were recalled back in Mar '05 because they may contain traces of the banned spice Sudan1 but I would have thought Walkers would have replaced it with another colouring and got them back on the shelves again. I'll look next time I'm in Tesco's as it was a fave flavour of mine too.

    Absinthe is evil, evil stuff.

I picked up a bottle in Spain last year - 70 proof - and it's absolutely foul ! Can see why you need burnt sugar in it to make it palatable.

A year or two earlier the lads had a session that included 4 or 5 absinthes each at a West End private bar. Strange things occured, time was lost, the next morning were various reports of euphoric feelings, then skull-splitting headaches.

Treat with respect and caution !

As for brass knuckles, I strongly suspect you would face arrest and caution if you were found travelling with them through customs at either end...

Thanks for all the help once again.

And you have warned be about Absinthe a lot, guess I should try a little first.
and the brass knuckles are a no go, forget it.

One more question, what the BIGGEST dairy milk bar I can buy?
I'm after Whole Nut Dairy Milk.

I went to woolworths and say 250g one.
And they have 400g bard for the plain kind and fruit and nut.
So the biggest for whole nut so far is 250g

Edit, found 400g whole nut on eBay, so at least they have 400g bars :)

Woolworths had a 1KG fruit and nut and whole nut before giftmas.
I believe you can buy them direct from Cadbury.

If you live in london there is a great off licence in soho that sells different brands of absinthe.

For the chocolate bars - buy them in the airport. Much cheaper!

Cool unique things - blimey! Asking a bit! Apart from Marmite (which I think should be mandatory)....

    er....

    er...

What is his idea of cool?

Basically anything they don't have in Canada/US.
    Tough one, eh?

I think I may get chocolate form the airport, but don't want to go there and they end up having no massive dairy milk there.

is there still not a limit on liquids being taken on planes?. It was 100ml, of which 75 will be the 'Loony Juice'', that does not leave much for toiletries and the like.

Absinth will also be cheaper at the airport too

Sebor is the brand Tesco stocks and claims to have the highest content of the woodworm (a herb not an actual worm) which is the psycho active aspect but Le Fay claims to be the closest to the original.

Have had it a few times including a fair amount on some of the sittings... tastes terrible, more of a talking point than anything else... had no effect from it other than the normal alcohol
