I want to output the Sky+ S-Video signal (via S-Video) and the DVD/Xbox signal (via componant) to both a projector and a RP TV but only have one S-Video out and one componant out on the back of my amp.

Where can I buy simple splitters for both outputs so I can send the signal to both devices? I have had a look on Ebay but am reluctant to buy for fear that I will get a severe drop in quality.

    1:2 component buffer Here.

S-Video switch with 2 outputs Here or Here.

I've not used any of the above so can't say how good they will be. I have however used other JS-Tech boxes in the past and they have always given excellent PQ.

Why 'strangle' your system using S-Video from the Digibox.

I'd suggest an RGB2YUV converter on the SCART RGB Output of the Digibox and switch both YUV sources via your AV Receiver and then a 1:2 YUV Distribution amp on the Output of the AV Receiver.

The JS Technology kit works very well.

    Best regards

Am I right in thinking that the stuff from JS is recomended? I just want to make sure that there will be no drop in quality if I use any of these converters and splitters.

    Hello MacReady

John Sim (of JS Technology) is a frequent contributor to the AVForums.

John's converters, switchers and distribution products have many fans and crucially John is only ever a phone call or email away if you ever run into a problem.

You'll have no problems with your system if you install a JS Technology RGB converter + distribution amp.

    Best regards

    Joe

AAARRGGGHHH...bloody old age is getting to me I tell you !!

I have completely forgotten about my CLD925 Laserdisc player ! That is not outputting to the projector either and I really would like it to be. Am I right in thinking that the RGB/YUV converter only has one input so I cannot put the Sky+ and the LD player into it?

I am not going to have to buy two am I so I can convert both signals to YUV :(

As long as your Laserdisc player is outputting RGB on SCART then you can 'daisy chain' it via the second SCART socket on the SKY+ Digibox.

Put the SKY+ box into standby and you'll 'see' the signal being looped via the second SCART socket.

    Best regards
