Those are the only two websites I would trust... I want a Panasonic Q as well but since I'm getting a prog.scan DVD player, I think I'm going to leave it alone for a while. Nice to know that the Freeloder boot-disk will be out in August as well. £300 is the price to beat so it'll be interesting if anyone can find a cheaper and reputable site...

Apparently the Freeloader wont boot on a Panasonic Q. This is what I've heard. I'll try and find out more but that's the whispers so far..

the Q is great and VERY shiny (these things are important), but I think you should be aware that there are a few reliability worries. A mate of mine had one (JAP/US GC bit and multi-region NTSC) and he had problems with interference lines on his picture which he couldn't remove, despite using ferrite rings on cables. Lan-kwei were very good and took it back and he now has a normal GC.

I notice that they have droppde the warranty offered on the Q's to 3 months now also.

Lan-kwei cust services were very good though.

snake , what do you want to pay for a Q ????

i have one sitting upstairs in a box , i paid £350 for it and i have just got a import bill from DHL for £68.
this was bought from lik-sang and is region 1-6 modded.

I may sell it if the price is right.

    make me an offer :)

ill give you an offer of £210 coz if i buy it brand new from liksang.com it would only cosy 289 but i cant be bovered for the hassle

thanks for the offer but for that i would rather keep it in the box ;)

i would recommend ordering it from lik-sang , i paid £299 from lik sang , then with shipping and a memory card it came to £350 and as i said i got a bill for import duty, vat and handling charges that came to a total of £68, if i sold it to you for £210 i still have to pay the £68 vat etc. so that would be like me letting my new panny Q go for £142.

as i said, for that i would rather keep it sitting in a box.

i have been offered £200 plus a UK cube already but would want a US one.

    thanks for the offer anyway.

I have a US cube (+ £) that i would like to swap for a Q. Is it modified to play us games and us dvds?

How much cash are we talking here?

I had to pay customs on my cube too - even though on the box it was marked as a repair.

I have already swapped it mate, sorry.

and if it had repair on the waybill you should speak to the courior and tell them i did with my quadscan and they told me not to pay and that they would send some paperwork out for me to sign.

    good luck.

I phoned up DHL to complain but they just told me it was nothing to do with them and that i should pay DHL the money and then contact customs with my original shipping information. I tried not paying hoping that they would forget but a month later they sent a letter out saying that they were sending some people round to collect the money. So i had to pay:(
