    Hi there

I am looking at buying the entire series on DVD.
In this country it come to approx £230
Does anyone know where to get it at a more reasonable price??

    Cheers

That price doesnt sound that bad mate, works out about £23 per Season which compared to other TV Series like Star Trek (£60 per Season) is quite reasonable.

Someone has told me that I may be able to get it from Hong Kong as a box set for £100 or so.
But I can't find it and am a bit sceptical about them all speaking Cantonese :)

Why not do what I did. Buy a DVD Recorder instead.
Friends are broadcasted all the time on C4 and E4, and it won't be long before you have the complete collection.

I now have every single episode on DVD-R (all with adverts edited out) on 40 DVD-R's. It only cost me about £15 in blank discs!

It was the only reason I bought a DVD-R machine, and it paid for itself in 6 months!

That sounds great but if I buy another gadget my wife will burn me in a specially made wicker man that stands in the back garden.
I can smuggle DVD's and smaller items in when she's not looking but the larger items take some covert planning...I'll work on it :)

It annoys me because from series 7 onwards they changed the DVD's in the UK from the standard 3 discs per series to 6 discs so we end up paying twice as much. I refused to buy these and when I was in Holland I found that the newer series were still on 3 discs per series for about £7-8 per disc - another example of us being ripped off in the UK. The only series not currently available for stupidly low prices in Holland is 10. The much older series can be got for around £5 per disc if you happen to be going through Amsterdam at any time.
