you will find leconcepts (leading edge concepts, in case le is confusing you) are UK based and some ppl on here have used 'em ok.
Check out the 'jumpt to' tab 'about us' it gives full info of eshop and retail stuff.

"Leading Edge Concepts mail order site is set in the rolling hills of County Durham, closely located to the historical market town of Bishop Auckland, approximately 1 hour north of Leeds and 1/2 hour south of Newcastle upon Tyne."

Sound and Vision - Bolton, do them for £390 fully auto region select inc RCE discs(not macro defeat though). Not sure how much delivery is.
Ask for Chris if you get quoted a higher price.

    Cons:-
    No macro defeat
    Long layer change
Heard something about low LFE level. But mine is fine via digital SP/DIF etc.(Sub shakes the house!)

    Plus points:-
    Superb detail levels
    Superb colour saturation
Cracking remote which has a handy frame jog wheel.
Almost unlimited video adjustments (chroma level/delay-block reduction-Ire level etc)
Progressive scan with NTSC (not sure when Pal will be available)

Just remember the low price you are paying, so the slightly long layer change etc are more than acceptable.

sound and vision have stopped selling them now:(
i rang them on seperate days and both times they say that they have finished with this line.
i tried richer sound and they will beat the £400 advertised by another company but they dont have one for me in stock.
so i am now back to where i started with encasers deal from leconcept (not french) doh.....

MY NEXT QUESTION IS......is an import a problem? i was told by the other company ...prc? that richer sounds use imports so should this bother me at all??

    thanks again

cheers for the info stupot43 :D i phoned them and they do have them in stock but the gold model is £450 + p&p or in black for £400 as you said.
i think £50 for a different colour is a bit much and he dug his heels in the mud good and propper when i tried to beat the price down.
    so the hunt continues......

    thanks

You could try British Airways, they need to get a bit of cash.

You could also try looking into a different model, maybe an Airbus
