i am currently using the kenwood x9060d amp, i have a copy of DVE which i am trying to use to callibrate my audio with. i want to use my spl meter to set the sound level of my speakers. the DVE disc tells you to set the master volume of the amp to referance level, but what is the referance level.

if you have a db scale (-89db or something upwards) then its 0db. If your amp doesnt have that kind of scale (ie it has 0 and upwards) then you will have to ask Kenwood I suppose, or set it to max vol.

If your amp has a tone generator, does it vary with changes in volume? If not it is set to output at reference automatically.
