Where has the Hifix Website gone??

    Hiya, I have been trying to get on hifix website today to see what speakers they have but the site will not load.........are they still around???

    Why not PM Dav1dF as he works there and is active on here as an assured advertiser every day. You could also just ring them on 02476 525200.

    Yep same problem for the last few days the site wont load. Phew thought it was just me. :)

    As David is off today i have posted this to keep everyone on the Forums up todate

    We had planned to move our ISP hosting to another company and to upgrade our server, which has not gone as we'd planned. We should be back up and running tomorrow. We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience this has caused them.


    We've had our busiest Christmas on record, we're advertising for another member of staff, and adding more manufacturers to our arsenal all the time to build upon the reputation we have, and to provide the widest range of products on demonstration in store on the internet.


    For any queries in the meantime, customers can call myself or David, on 02476 525200 or PM him you can or so call Lee on Hifix as well on 02476 222622

    Hi Scott - if anyone calls the mail order line, they can be quite busy, and they've been down a member of staff this week due to illness. The store phone line in my sig can be used, which I think has 3 lines, and is normally answered pretty quickly. If anyone calls the store line they can ask for myself or Kevin if I'm busy.

    Got worried when I saw the thread title, Been shopping at Frank Harvey Hifi for years along with my dad. Very good kit and a very good service!

    The actual store is even more impressive than the site. I walked around in awe as i was shown around a few weeks ago whilst collecting my iq3's.

    Thanks for the comments guys - I will soon be putting together a profile which I will post in the blog section once I've done it. It will include photos of the store, a list of what we have on demonstration (as we don't have room for over 3,000 products in store!), and maybe a little history of the building depending how rusty my history is :)

    It'll be quite extensive, so might take a little while to put together.

    I obviously didn't speak to David when i phoned up. My damaged speakers were replaced, but the replacements weren't even ordered from Quad until the week after the first pair were picked up, and when i phoned whoever it was didnt seem bothered.
    They finally arrived the day i disconnected my amp to redecorate, so i havent been able to listen to them yet.

    Seems from all the positive feedback it might have been a one off, but not a great experience

    I did not read Scott's comments that way - more a dig at all us potentially nerdy/insecure AVForum bods who were not used to using the phone to speak to real people!

    I actually work for Frank Harvey in store and not actually on the website itself - the internet guys are just way to busy to post on here regularly, so if I don't do it we wouldn't be here at all! Lee is the main guy on web sales and is usually very helpful and cheery. So if you ring the website you'll more than likely speak to him, but if you ring the store, I'll deal with all AVF queries and sales.

    There's always one or two that get through, so I apologise on their behalf. If it's the Quads I think it is, Quad were going through a stock take at the time and weren't shipping anything for almost a week.

    Aaaah.....there's always two ways to read everything - I picked the wrong one! :oops:

    One more thing regarding the website, if people can bare with us as there are a number of incorrect images/descriptions/links etc due to the changover - not sure how it's happened, but this has been a real pain in the rear!

    It seems this thread has run it's course and although there are more exciting things in the pipeline for the Website in the future. The original question has been well answered. So I'll close this thread now.
