It's your lucky day. The 220e can now be bought from RS for £99.95 and made multiregion via this link for free (!).

Does it play all discs? And what firmware version does it become? I was always under the impression that the Toshiba's are chipped and not software urgradeble to be region free.

How do i unzip .rar files?

Yes it plays all discs but there may be a problem with the newest form of RCE but no confirmation has yet. The firmware remains at whatever version it was before the modding. Toshiba's are normally chipped but this model can also be easily done by software. Since its easily done I think you might find that Richer Sounds only have the multi-region version in stock and the ones they are currently stocking have the 1.5 firmware which is the latest and sorts out all known issues.
