    Hi,

If any of you have seen the brilliantly acidic comedy "Ghost World", then you'll know about the superbly kitsch Indian music video that Enid watches during the opening credits.

The song is definitely called "Jaan Pehechaan Ho" and I think it's by Mohammed Rafi. It's a scene taken from the Indian movie "GUMNAAM" - a 1965 Bollywood variant of Agatha Christies "Ten Little Indians" (aka "And Then There Were None", and the deliriously racist original title of "Ten Little Ni****s" !) It's a mix of murder/mystery and horror, with several bizzaro music scenes in it, with a slinky character called Miss Kitty - basically a woman in a cat mask. It sounds strange and brilliantly weird enough, for me to actually want to buy it, even though I've never seen the film.

Now, I've managed to find out that "GUMNAAM" is out on Indian DVD, as a Region 0 NTSC disc. However, I can't find it listed on any DVD sites. So, can any of you kind folks tell me where I may be able to buy this film from, please?

    Thanks, in advance.

    Pooch,

You can get it from Indiaweekly, it's $15.99 and in stock.

I've used Indiaweekly several times and the DVDs have allways arrived within a week.

    Hi Mujja,

Thanks for that info. I did discover a company called Indiaplaza.com, but they want to charge me $25 to ship one single DVD to the UK  .

I think I will buy from IndiaWeekly instead!

    Thanks again! :)
