I am planning on buying an Infocus X1 projector in the near future and I am going to use a component video connection from my Pioneer DV-656A DVD player to the projector.

Please can you advise me of a suitable and reasonably priced component video cable to use and where I can purchase it from. I am in Bristol.

The cable needs to be between 4 and 6 metres in length. On the internet, I see most component cables are either 1 or 3 metres in length.

I would recommend Supra's excellent AV3 component Video cable, which is available in many standard lengths including 4m, 5m and 6m.

Most of the cable manufacturers have 'standard' price list lengths and any in-betweens can be made up 'Special Order'.

We carry BetterCables, VanDamme, Supra and QED and for custom lengths at affordable prices in 2-3 days the VanDamme wins every time (though given the extra budget I'd 'stretch' to the BetterCables if I could).

    Best regards

    Joe

PS 4-6 Meters is a bit vague :) - the cable assembly boys like cables to be an 'exact' length.
