Every demo I download vanishes and cannot be found.

I try to redownload and get a message stating I have previously downloaded this demo and am I sure I want to continue etc.

When I check my active downloads theres nothing there:confused:

When I check my demos folder nothing there either except FIFA and Battlefield that downloaded no problem.

Has anyone any idea to what the prob may be?

Try going to the pupil page (system page) and going into memory, choose the hard drive and enter the demos section. Any demos on your HDD will be in there.

Also, then you are on market place, rather than choosing to download again, there should be an option for "locate mine", try choosing that.

If neither of those work, contact Microsoft.

    Thanks for quick reply.

I have tried locate mine yet nothing, will try systems blade.

How many demos can u jhold at once on a 360. Is there a limit or only by HD size?

    EDIT -

Checked system tab and no extra games reside in there. I tried to download game again and it says Game exists, locate item takes me to demos page with FIFA and BF on and no other demos.

This has me baffled?? How can it say it exsists on my harddrive when it doesnt.

I am attempting to download again but not holding my breath as tried downloading again before.

All demos should be in the same place, if it's showing some and not others, there is a problem.

Remember, if a demo does not complete it's download, it will also not show. If there was an error in the connection during the download, it may not have completed. But it should still be in the current download list which is strange.

The only limitation to how many demo's, trailers or songs is the HDD size. The are no limits other than that.

If you format your HDD and wipe everything off it, then you can download something you have already done previously, it won't say it has already been downloaded. So no, if it says it's on there, then it believes it is.

I would personally call Microsoft support and run the problem past them as it sounds like there is something very wrong.

The only other this I can offer advice on is formatting the HDD. By loading up the xbox 360 the next time, you can retrieve your gamer tag and game saves from xbox LIVE. Any original xbox game saves or instillations will be lost however. This may resolve the issue, but Microsoft should be your first port of call.

Mickey123 could I ask you a favour? If so, would you mind checking whether you can locate the Gears of War trailer and the x-men the last stand trailer on Market Place. They have vanished from my HDD and I can't find them on Market Place?

No gears of war or Xmen trailers fella. Onlything beginning with an X is a new Xbox dashboard.

When you say call MS - is it that simple I just call right? No waiting for a reply via Email for a month like Ebay?

    Thanks for looking mate.

    Yes it is.

Microsoft have a free telephone helpline where you can talk to them regarding LIVE, your bill, faults etc.

The xbox.com website has a support page, navigate through that and you'll be able to locate the number.

From there, give them a call and talk about you problem, they should be able to give you some conclusive advice.

Do let us know how it goes, or if you can't find the number.

You won't have any luck due to copy right.

The only other option to to download Direct2Driver demos on the PC (if they are multi platform).

I wouldn't stand for it. I would insist microsoft correct the problem.

Are the demos actually complete? If it's not complete, it won't appear in the demos page, but will appear ticked in the list and will ask if you want to download again.

    Hi All,

I have contaced Microsoft the global company whose call centre is three miles from where I live

    They havent a clue.

They got me to download a video file to test my net connection. I downloaded a 200mb file no bother.

Then they said my hard drive was full. To which I replied, then how did I fit a 200 meg video file on it.

I honestly don't think the bloke I spoke to had a clue what was going on.

His next recomendation was to try logging in with a different account name to see if my account was corrupt?????????????

Eventually after many more suggestions he said he would pass it on to someone somewhere who would ring me back.

In otherwords, I got no where fast.

    Mickey

    Hi Mcnab

Not sure if there complete. There not in my demo folder and there not showing as active downloads so I take it this would mean there complete??

last time i downloaded a demo it did this, disappeared not in the queue or the in the folder, i just went to redownload it, it said i had it and i just selected download again. It jumped straight to 88% and then continued from there.

So maybe your connection to live is dropping midway through, what happens if you redownload the missing ones?

Can you keep an eye on the active downloads that would help, boring i know!
