When to enable Noise Reduction

    Still experimenting with my new AE300 ... under what circumstances would enabling Noise Reduction be useful? Seems obvious it enables some image processing which probably is better left turned off unless needed for PQ reasons, however the manual gives no indication just WHAT symptoms would indicate it would be needed.

    To me, 'noise' means the sort of 'sparkling' effect you get on CRTs when interference occurs, I doubt it means the same thing on LCDs ... can someone please enlighten me.
