when comparing scart cables what should i look out for?

    sorry if ive put this in the wrong place i didnt know were to put it

    when comparing scart cables what should i look out for and take note of on dvds.

    GOOD PICTURE Quality,
    Sorry in=know it very obvious but that what your after i guess. one menus with white boxes look for movement in the boxes, shimmer flicker etc can all be due to noise a good scart (in fact any cable ) will minimise noise visible on screen.
    Really you want the R,G & B signals to have individual sheilding, Buy one you think is good, then making sure you can return it before paying then a cheaper one and a really cheap one and swap em around and see what you think.

    geezer i mean quality of contast, colour, noise, sharpness etc

    what should i look for and at, and take note of when i am comparing scart cables with dvd

    SKY menu/EPG is a good one i had no idea of the difference untill i swapped the DVD player (Good scart) with the standard Vivanco one on the sky box! Big difference.

    Yes a good scart lead with sky works wonders. At the moment i use QED squarts on my dvd and sky they arnt cheap but very effective

    VDH Thescart 1.5m currently £85 RRP £135
    Look out for lack of interferance
    Sharpness
    colour seperation
    and if needed then good sound.
    if you can't pay £85 then go with the previous advice Sqarts are good value even @ £50
