Going to buy a Plasma and after reading opinions I am going to go for the Panny 42, probably from here. What else do I need to buy with it? Iread about tuners and speakers and other things and so I am confused. What exactly do I need. Do they come with all that is required.?

I will be connecting it with Sky and my DVD Recorder Panasonic E75

you need a SCART terminal board
sky to dvd recorder to SCART terminal board
and some feet or a wall bracket (Partington universal plasma feet £56 from richersounds)

use your hifi for the sound, and sky for TV (analogue tuner pictures look naff on plasma)

hearts - I have just bought a PW6 from digital-point.co.uk for £1699 on 6 months interest free credit. I filled out all the forms online at about 3 o'clock on Wednesday and the screen was delivered on Saturday. The TY-42TM6T scart board was included in the price but you will need a stand. Richer Sounds do some naff looking feet but a PA20 im silver will cost £136 from empiredirect.co.uk (2 days delivery). I get the picture from a Goodmans GDB2 Freeview tuner and the sound from my Pioneer DCS313 DVD player (5.1) I have just discovered that the DVD can pass thru the GDB2 and so no further upgrade is required.

I can recommend the PW6. My DVD and Digital Terrestrial look superb and thanks must go to everyone on this forum for helping me make this excellent choice.

Bummer about the price increase!!!! :D But I think they have knocked nearly a hundred quid of the package that included the PA20 stand as well - So still not a bad deal (plus the interest free bit if required)
