I was merrily trimming this jasmine climber to day using a hedgecutter for speed. When I got to the top I decided to finish off using my trusty shears.Snip snip snip I went and ..........AAAAAAAAArgh SNIP  straight through the sodding Sky cable :( :t. I went indoors gave them a ring and a Scottish accent replied "watrhulidderuy accunt numer plies" :( now is it me or does anyone else struggle with a glasgwegian accent( I think) over the phone. I mean this guy sounded ****** and his conversation was shall we say garbled . Eventually I gave in as I could see there was no point in arguing( the installers had left the cable proud of the waste downpipe and nestling on the Jasmine) so rather than trying to make sense out of him I said put me through the technical dept and I'll pay the call out charge  This after having to pay £ 65 for my sky plus reciever ( hard disk broke down)- the fourth digibox I've had in the last eighteen months.

Have a look at this thread about how I have had to phone Sky technical five times in as many days about a problem I have been having.

I have not really had any problems with the accent but they were all too ready to charge me for someone to come out and 'fix' my box until I proved there was nothing wrong with it

Bloke who replaced my digibox said I was unlucky as only 2% of them break down. Four times in 18 months and in each case the hard disc????

I Understand "them" perfectly well thank you very much :)

Maybe it's the half Argie in you that doesn't pick up on the subtle nuances in the accent.
