Having had a lot of fun reading and adding to Andy Bassett's 'Scenes in An Elevator' thread, I thought I'd piggyback that idea with another variant - bridges. It can be a scene on or involving one, just something memorable and worth mentioning. It can be whatever you like, where a bigger set piece impressed you, or maybe it was a far smaller, more subtle moment. I won't be Captain Obvious, and instead I'll start with the bridge scene in a lesser known film - The Mothman Prophecies. Not the greatest film ever, but it's climatic bridge scenes certainly left a mark after a slow build up...

Probably the bowling scene from Big Lebowski...oh...hang on.

Get this one from True Lies first - why on why isn’t it even on BD yet etc. Etc.

And there are lots to choose from in 21 Bridges (I’m here all week).

Love that set piece in Mission 3. Still the absolute highpoint for the franchise imo.

It’s a great scene for sure. Just to be nit picky, wouldn’t the government be immediately be aware of a rogue jet flying around, blowing up stuff, and send in re-inforcements? :D

Yep, Sorceror's bridge scene is absolutely brilliant. I'm surprised it isn't mentioned more to be honest when talking about great moments from films.

I've just realised there's an infinite number of possibilities with these threads.

We might need a new section

It's better than those super troubling threads that crop up every so often:

"I want to make a compilation of film scenes where women insult men while wearing pant-suits"

Take it to PornHub, buddy.

Think it has to be A Bridge too Far for me.

A few more:

“Prepare to meet Kali.....IN HELL!”

Connery and Caine (SPOILERS!!)

Not the best movie ever but notable for Stallone and James Woods sharing the screen (and blows)

But then, thinking about it there is the deadpool bridge scene to consider.

God maybe a better question would be favourite movie without a bridge scene 😉

Seem to remember there being an epic bridge sequence in The Peacemaker

Whilst we're on Stallone, there's that moment in Cliffhanger -

The Good The Bad & The Ugly

"It's a court martial offence even to imagine to dream of blowing up that bridge."

So Blondie and Tuco blow it up, while each sharing their half of the secret to the lost confederate gold. The look on the Captain's face when that sucker goes kaboom...

Fans of the film will already know they blew the bridge up, then had to rebuild it and then blow it up again .

Bridge on the River Kwai is actually a documentary about the filming of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

Edit: Oh...I guess spoilers?
