Just read the Ed Harris post and it got me thinking some adverts on tv are brilliant better than programs in some cases. My favourite has got to be the John West salmon ad when fisherman is fighting with grizzley bear ****ed myself when i saw that.
So come on then whats your favourite ad.

I think the crisps ad with Vicky Beckham taking the mickey out of herself is very clever.

The ads for sky moviemax action films are quite amusing for those that have sky. Little stick men acting out scenes for films.

The John Smiths diving ad is one of the funniest I have seen for a long time.:D

I liked the ITV digital ads :D
Also from many years ago, the Electricity or gas ads with the animated (Nick Park did them I believe) creature comforts creatures in, they were hillarious.

Yes they've changed them slightly well the words at the end as they used to say pot noodle was the slag of all snacks.

My personal fav is the new lucozade ad with multi injured lara crofts and lucozade bottles in their holsters. :)

Peter Kay's John Smiths ads, the World Cup one and now the new diving one. Class.

It's strange how adverts on the main commercial TV stations are always in widescreen and the DPLII kicks in a treat most of the time... makes them better to watch than a lot of the actual programmes.

I recall first seeing the original LOTR cinema ad and the surround sound effects on that was better than half my 5.1 DVDs.

I used to like the Pirelli tyres ad that had Carl Lewis (with Pirelli tread on his feet) running like a good 'un all over the place to the sound of the classic Aphex Twin/Caustic Window abrasive techno track "The Gardens Of Cinmirri" (I think). Genius.

Also like the sprite ads and the new tango one with the guy on the waterbed filled with oranges getting pricked by the porcupine.

I don't remember (my memory isn't what it used to be).
The Carl Lewis one must've been a good 7 or 8 years ago though.

I honestly thought that was a trailer when they showed it at my local 'plex when we caught Minority Report last week.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned one of the greatest adverts of all time....the one for the US Air Force...Top Gun.

    I'll get my coat.

My favourite advert at the moment is the new Barcardi Breezer one where the tabby is being examined by the doctor because he has a hangover after partying the night before - the looks the cat gives the doctor and the flashbacks to the night before are hilarious! :D

That cat creeps me out big time! They seem to be suggesting that the women in the ad are sexually attracted to this cat... I bet it smells of wee!

If it's anything like my cat, it'll have breath like an open sewer.
No wonder the girls in the ad have to get pi55ed up to be around him.

I loved the Nike world cup ad in which the worlds best eleven playing against the forces of darkness. There is a very old Christmas ad for Famous Name chocolates with the line “every year we have this idiotic little ritual” the shopper asks for the Famous Names and the shopkeeper replies “certainly Sir, Oliver Cromwell, Robin Hood, Reginald Bosanquet” just cracks me up even after maybe 25 years.:D :D :D
