    Damn Funky... ...

Apart from many of the others already mentioned....Murder One was always enjoyable too.

And I agree the last series of the A-Team was top music...especially the opening sequence

I can still see the openenig credits from the last season with clips from thier courtmartial and big guns ect all cut toghether and then the music starting with the judges gavel coming down at the end of the drum intro.

I have said it before, and I will say it again.

    Damn , I miss being a kid! :D :rotfl:

No Vangelis music for your favorite piece from a movie gary? you do suprise me. I would have thought music from a certain little independant film made in the 80s by that obscure fella called Ridley , would be high on your list :D ;)

    SF: UFO
    Drama: Police Woman
    Action: The Persuaders

They don't write theme tunes like they used to!

I mean compare Captain Scarlet old and new, who's gonna remember the new theme now, let alone in 30 years time?

I loved loads of old TV themes, e.g. Magnum, Rockford Files, Professionals, The Sweeney and it's not just nostalgia, but I genuinely believe it has become a forgotten art now.

Ron Grainer, Lalo Schifrin (Mission Impossible, wow!), Barry Gray; they were all musical geniuses.

SCI-FI show theme music - Thunderbirds - Such a rousing score!
Drama show Theme music - Edge of Darkness
Action show theme music - I'm stuck here between The Professionals & The A-Team

Single piece of film music - Star Trek Generations - The "Overture" (the music they use when Kirk & Picard are horse riding). Makes the hair on my neck stand on end every time I hear that.

Kids show - Gotta be RAINBOW!

Blade runner is an odd one for me as i dont really like the soundtrack that much david, some bits are of course classic - the main theme and the bit on the balcony :D But the rest i can take or leave. thats not to say its bad as its not, but its not classic throughout, if you know what i mean. :D

If i had to pick a vangelis peice it would be 1492: Conquest of Paradise (Ridley again) - a rubbish film with classic soundtrack.

Speaking of ridley he always chooses top music, Hanz`Zimmer for Gladiator, and another fav Thelma and Louise (i really like the guitar bits but they were never released on the soundtrack album)

and Ry Cooders's Southern Comfort - now there is a soundtrack :smashin:

    Frank/franky, santana.
he was added to the show because by then MR T and Greorge Pepard were refusing to do many scences together in the show  and to try and freshen things up.
It did not work though and the new format and rubbish scripts went towards the cancelation of the show in its 5th season after about 12 episodes :(
