When I try to watch a programme that I have recorded, I get pictures but no sound, so I have to

    1. press backup
    2. select the recording again
    3. press select
    4. press select again (as per normal)
& hey presto I now have picture & sound

Anybody know what the problem is ??? :lease:

Are you connecting SKY+ to an external Amp, using an optical lead ?

If so, you might just need to go into the "Optical Out" setting and change it to Dolby Digital. (its not set to that by default).

    Worth a try anyway............

Hi, I'm totally new to this forum (about to post my own problem thread tho!) so I may be talking absolute tosh...

I had a similar problem when I hooked up a Recordable DVD to my TV (with both this and the Sky+ box using Scart leads). It seems that the RDVD scart connection overrides the Sky+ one so to get sound I need to either turn off the RDVD or hit the 'TV' button on its remote (essentially doing the same thing).

So, any other Scart cables over-riding your Sky+ box?

    Gaz
