Whats up with my MCE remote

    It dont seem to work :(

    The light on the reciver box is just on all the time and the remote seems no longer to function

    Eek! There are some known issue with them, something about having to place silver foil over the contacts? Mine kept eating batteries, I have a Harmony 885 now programmed for MCE which is much better...

    I can only suggest the obvious, such as taking out the batteries and letting it discharge for a while, and disconnecting and reconnecting the usb lead for the receiver.

    Also have the same model Harmony but whatever was wrong seemed to be with the reciver as apposed the remote

    anyway all seems to be working this morning

    Mine goes like this if I power off at the supply when the PC is in standby mode and then power everything back on and come out of standby. In and out of standby without powering off seems okay though.

    Are you using an LCD screen? These emit infra red and can confuse the receiver.

    Try and reposition the receiver so it's away from any interference from LCD's etc.
