    My receiver has a min rms output of 65w @ 20Hz to 20kHz 0.06% THD,8ohm.
    But it also says 80w @1khz, 0.7% THD,4ohm.
    Whats the difference?
Can I select either of them or are they just tests?

They're specs at different output levels into different loads....the first specifies the receiver's output into an 8ohm load, and the frequency band across which it will output that power, together with the distortion it produces,in this case, quite reasonable figures.
The next set of values you've given is the output into a 4ohm load, and as you can see, despite halving the load, the output rises only a very small amount, and the distortion rises quite markedly, indicating that the receiver doesnt cope well with low impedance loads.
Which you pay attention to will depend a lot on what load your speakers are...i.e.4 or 8 ohm.
Distortion figures are often a waste of time,as some beautiful sounding valve amps have awful measured distortion figures, and there have been plenty of wonderful measuring but awful sounding amps also....use your ears on that one,but certainly pay some attention to power output and load tolerance, remembering that very few amps have the capacity to keep doubling their output as the load halves(which in theory is what a perfect amp should be able to do).

They are just tests, but the values also relate to the speakers you are going to use. See Alexs2' explanation.
