What's this old film, maybe "made for TV" film?

Here's another one for you film buffs, but an extremely obscure one.

A action/bit of comedy film I watched, must have been 15 years ago now. About an American cop who was mistakenly implicated in a murder who got sentanced to the electric chair. However he manages to escape whilst in the chair due to his special powers gained by seeing the colour red! I remember he jumps out of a window from the jailhouse. This invulnerability he has when seeing red also helps in other escaping other things that happen in the film, being shot I think was one also. I can't remember how he got the special powers when seeing red.

This film was probably just a made for TV special from America, and so obscure noone can remember it. But I'll give it a go anyway :smashin:

    Cheers

I remember a movie called SuperSnooper, which sounds similar except he lost his powers when he saw the colour red (IIRC).

He's cracked it, cheers Seth  You were right, he lost his powers when he saw red, not gained them, just like Kewell  :rotfl: :rotfl:

I recall seeing this as a 'double feature' with 'Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger' in the late 70's.

Thought it was great fun...it had a really catchy theme tune which I'd love to hear again.

He lost his powers after seeing a missile explode IIRC..think he was in marsh land with crocodiles at the time.

He defo did lose those powers on seeing red...he was 'lying' on the ceiling at some point and fell after seeing a woman dressed in red.

    hi Andy,

Could it have been Wes Craven's "Shocker" starring Mitch Pileggi, aka FBI Director Walter Skinner from "The X-Files" TV series?

Nah - Shocker was a lame horror as opposed to action/comedy, with Pileggi's character dying but becoming a being based of electricity, due to the electrocution.

I think the duo in Snooper made several movies, although thankfully that was the only one I've seen by them :)

Besides LFC has said I was right ;) But I did see where you were going with that Pooch, awful movie that it is.

It's Spencer and Hill (despite the names both Italians) famous for the "Trinity" series of spaghetti westerns.
