The main character is a hitman, and he goes to a school reunion and I think he lies to his classmates.

Never seen the film, wouldn't mind picking it up.

One of the best films to have escaped without much hype and therefore relatively unnoticed at the cinema but most people have now caught up with it on DVD or Video

I thought it was boring drivel.

But then I watched it around the same time as Jacob's Ladder and I thought the same of that in those days and oh how wrong I was. So might have to give it another try (but only when they give it a decent DVD release).

SG I know our taste in films is hardly an exact match but I cannot recommend this film enough, very clever black comedy, it also has one of the greatest soundtracks ever.
The Cusack siblings are extremely good in it. As for Jacob's Ladder you definitely have to be in a certainly mood and very awake to watch it. I was slightly underwhelmed last time I watched it

I love Jacobs Ladder, whenever I watch it.

I first watched both films when I was in 6th form, so it was years ago and my tastes have since changed somewhat. I also watched them with a young lady, so my mind was elsewhere at the time.

I remember we watched Cadillac Man together as well and we both thought it was absolutely terrible. I don't think I'll give that one another try

    Thanks for the info.

I've got Van Wilder, haven't seen it yet but looks a film for immature people (watched a few mins of it)

VW (yes he wears a hat with the Volkswagen logo on 'cause the initials are the same - nice touch I thought :D ) is very immature humour, so if you're expecting something "classy" you'll be disappointed. In the same league as Road Trip, American Pie, etc. If you didn't like those, I doubt you'll like VW. I loved it however :)
