ive just found a user account on my laptop i didnt know about. ive only set one up which is for myself. it doesnt show up when i log in but ive just found it in the control panel under user accounts.
its called asp.net machine a.
does anyone know what this acount is, should it be deleted

I think thats a standard account that Windoze puts on, my laptop has one as well. You should be able to delete it, but i dont know why its there..

This account is created when Microsoft .NET: Framework 1.1 is installed, probably through automatic updates. The account is created to run the asp.net processes used in Microsofts Internet Information Services. It's nothing to worry about and is only used if you're running .net managed executables on local web servers. If you really want, you can uninstall the Microsoft .NET framework completely, instead of just removing the account.
