....if I don't have the phoneline plugged into my SKY+ Amstrad digibox.

Apart from the obvious not being able to request box office movies:

Will I not be able to recieve updates?
Will the SKY+ subscription cease to work?

    Thanks

    Alex

If you're still within the first 12 months of SKY+ ownership or you have a second digibox in another room, you'll probably get a letter from Sky soon telling you that you must have the box connected to a phone line as it's part of the contract.

If you still don't connect it to a phone line then i guess they could say that you are in breach of contract and they could cancel your contract.

Not true, a phone connection is required to enable the record function on the box, but once enabled it will work without a phone connection.

I think the equipment is subsidised & if you dont comply with the agreement signed on purchase & subsequent requests to connect, as stated you are in breach of contract. I think they'll want more money from you. It won't affect your ability to record.

I've been recording without the phone line connection, although I've just got a letter from Sky telling me I have to have it plugged in. I know you can't book box office events without the phone connection.
