whats the usb for

    Hi, just had sky+ installed and was looking at the box and noticed there is a usb port on the front by the viewing card can someone tell me what this is for, thanks in advance.:)

    Not used for anything - on some boxes, it's not even wired up to the circuit board. On some it is - so you could maybe use it for charging up your mobile phone, or plug in one of those USB coffee cup warmers that you can get for your PC.

    What you certainly can't use it for is to copy data backwards and forwards between your Sky box and anything else.
