Either side of the PSP usb port are 2 screw holes. I wonder what Sony's plans are for those. Also, either side of the usb are a couple of small copper contacts.

Makes you wonder whats in store for the PSP? A piggyback hard drive would be cool.

Probably to hold the eventual camera in place.

camera (eyetoy), GPS, the new MGS 3D addon thing?

I can understand why the USB port in on the top of the PSP, however it is annoying as it means I can not put the PSP in a cradle to synchronise with my PC!

the two copper contacts look like power adapters a bit like the ones on the bottom. They may provide power to whatever doohickey (camera, ps3 adapter etc) gets released. the screwholes further out are obviously to screw it in.

Maybe the screw holes will be used to secure a fold up keyboard to the psp, will make web browsing much easier  and as others have said will also be used for cameras etc.

Maybe an in-car 'bracket' will be released that will allow a GPS to be connected and use PSP as GPS/SATNAV

The first official accessory to use these screw holes will be the Talkman (Microphone add on):

And if the leaked shots of the Metal Gear 3D addon are to be belived its not an actual piece of hardware but a clip on cardboard 3D eye thing like that bloke wore in Back To The Future <shudders>

And here I was expecting something funky...

Surely the most obvious use for them will be to mount a TV tuner.
