This sites provides the frequency of each channel broadcast on Sky Digital.

    http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/skyuk_chno.shtml

Is it possible to use these to assign particular channels to these frequencies on a sky dig box?

ie. get the bbci channels on a separate channel? or get other broadcasts like rte1, or s4c for example?

    In a way you can.

If you go into the SKY Services menu, System Setup and then ADD Channels you can add the data you have and if it is acceptable to the limited facilities of a digibox then it will show what chanels are accessable. You can then add them and they are selected from the Other Channels option in the services menu, they can not be accessed via the EPG.

Don't forget that some channels can not be added due to encryption/postcode mapping etc.
