Can any one please tell me from the horses mouth coz they are useless at sky!
I currently have sky+. I just have the free to view channels no extras at all and I pay th £10 per month to get the sky+ functionality.
I have just got a new panny plasma with a freesat tuner built in and I have had a little taste of BBC HD just by connecting one of my sky cables to it.
I think it's great but me and the missus could not watch telly now in the old fashioned way without pause/ record etc.
I thought about using the humax freesat recorder but tried it around my father in laws the other night and found it really difficult to operate - all kinds of stuff was going on and i immediately took a dislike to it and started comparing it to the simplicity of sky
So i rang sky and asked them what the cheapest option for me to get the free HD channels was. She really didnt convince me that she knew what she was talking about and said it would be at least £26 per month.
Is it not £10 for the "+" and £10 for the "HD"? =£20
All i want is to be able to watch and pause/record BBC HD and whatever other free ones there are, nothing else.
Also my dad has an HD subscription but wants to change back to normal. Could we just swap boxes to save on the install fee?
Also i have read about Sky HD boxes giving a really bad SD picture. Recently though there seems to be talk about it sorting itself out. Is that true? Should i be asking for (insisting) on a certain type of box (pace/samsung)?
Your help would be greatly appreciated thanks
