    I read somewhere that it's 8077/88

But is 49XD8099 still the same? That's the only one i have locally.

    Actually it was. Thanks.

I'm still confused what's the difference between all these:
    XE8005 / XE8077 / XE8088 / XE8096 / XE8099

The XE is the 2017 model, the 'exact' same model as the X800D is the XD8005. The XD8077 is a silver version with a souped up Motion Flow (XR400 vs XR200). XD8088 and 8099 are exactly the same as each other and could be used as exclusives for a certain chain. Compared to the other two they have a dark chrome stand instead of a silver one and possibly an extra remote (the Smart remote but I've read contradictory reports iirc; the UK Sony site doesn't list it but others do so perhaps just not in the UK. Replace the co.uk with your own country's code and check what's listed as the included contents). Motion Flow rating also XR400 (but still 50/60Hz native) ...
