I'm considering a set of Mordaunt Short GENIE SYSTEM @ £700 (richersounds) or a second hand set of KEF 5005 Surround Sound System @£700 In short is there much difference in sound for either music or DVD between these two? And what opinions do you have over buying 2 year old speakers?

    Thanks in advance.

Of course there is a difference. These are 2 different companies and as such they produce a different sound. The fact the price is similiar is irrelevant. You must hear them both in order to understand the sound you like.

There is nothing wrong with buying 2nd hand speakers. They give you a better value for your money than new speakers.

Use your ears, that's what they're there for.
