I've read a thread further down that the E50 may be replaced in the next 6 months or so, but in a local store they are still selling E30's.

I have not (as yet) managed to find out if this was old display stock or if they still have new boxed stock. I know I can get the E50 for £250 online but with a little gentle persuasion I'm hoping I can get the E30 for about £200 (it's £240 at the mo.)

    a) what are the major differences (if any)?
    b) would the E50 be worth the extra £50 ?

The E30 was much better made, the E50 was built down with cheeper components to allow it to compete on price with the competition.
The only reason to go E50 is if it has extra features you need, or you need the snob value of the later model number.
