My telly's speakers are rubbish so I'm thinking about putting a 5.1 system in my living room just to do the audio from $ky. The only mode I would use is Prologic II.
What is the cheapest amp with prologic II? (It doesn't need to have Dolby Digital or DTS!). If there isn't an amp for £100 or less I won't bother. I can imagine lots of people in my position. Is there an amp to satisfy the niche?

The cheapest PLII system I've seen is the Sony HT-BE1'BABE'. £233 on www.qed-uk.com. For that you get the speakers as well.

I want PLII as well as 99% of our viewing is broadcast. I'm planning on getting the Yamaha 430. Budget permitting I'll be getting some Mission FS1 or 2 speakers.

Cheapest Pro-Logic II amp of the moment would be the Marantz sr4200 at around £199.

I don't think there's anything even close to £100 though it may be worth considering a 2nd hand Marantz sr4200 or Denon 1602. You might get one of these for £150 or less and they are both great amps for the price.

Thanks, guys.
