hi..in my opinion, the d500 is the better phone,i have had the raz and to be honest found it a very boring phone with not a lot of features.the d500 has more on it,better memory and the d500 is an overall better looking phone with more class. :)

The looks are in the eye of the beholder; most people reckon that the V3 looks better than the D500. The D500 is a well designed phone though.

The V3 is more "bling". Look at the specs of each phone, decide which one fits the bill better.

The only features that the D500 has over the V3 is memory and video/higher res camera.

The V3 has voice dialling, which is essential if you are driving.

cheers for the comments. i had a D500 in my hand the other day and it felt really nice and comfy and more important not to small. im not after a 'bling' to show off, i use a phone as a phone in all honesty its just time for an upgrade. admittedly the MP3 playback on the D500 seems a really nice feature so i think i will go for the samsung

i have the V3, its a nice phone, it just lacks features. the camera for example is crap. for making calls etc it's fine though

but... i just saw a pic of a V3a which has a 2 megapixel camera, not sure what else, so i might consider that as a replacement for the v3 as there arent many slim phones with good functions. the k7501 or d600 are a couple of decent options, but the nokia n90 is out soon, and i saw a new samsung slim camera thats due out soon - there are some pix in the new FHM magazine or you might be able to google them up
