Am still curently weighing up the whole HD vs not HD debate in my mind currently, and at the moment swining towards saving a bit of money (ie going the non HD route).
What do you guys reckon is the best plasma (or anything else really) out there that is non HD? And just how good is it - ie i dont want to spend 1k - 1.5 k on something that is goig to dissapoint me when watching sky and DVD's on it.

Will the PQ of the PWD7 be as good as any of the current HD ready plasma then? Noticably the latest v500 that everyone else seems to be wetting themselevs about?

Trouble is, im not particularly near any great places that will demo them, only the usual like Currys, Dixons etc, and obviously wont get a proper demo at these places, and they only have limited stock. So I was hoping to trust you guys....

Where are you Stampax? - I have a PWD7 setup with a Home Theatre PC going in via the VGA. Quite simply stunning. I would be happy to give you a demo.

I'm in the West Midlands area.

    PM me if interested.

I wouldnt use Sky as a good example as the picture from Mr Murdoch is questionable at the best of times. To see this set in its true glory, watch a DVD.

I do not notice any blurring (eg football) or washing out of colours. The panasonic range of plasmas get great reviews on this Forum with good reason (but then again I am biased!)

Go check it out and let us know how you get on....

PW6's are pretty good - ooh, I happen to have one for sale in the forums as well, hows that for luck! :rotfl:

I'm moving to HD to be blown away by superb images (also to blow away my bank balance!).
