And no smart-alec answers along the lines of "one that isn't showing it" please. :)

Seriously - which London cinema would people recommend as having the best picture and sound quality?

I went to see it at Odeon Leicester Square, purely because they are using a digital projector, but to be honest I found the screen too small (I'd say equivelent size to sitting at home watching 50"-60" Screen), I was sitting in the royal circle so maybe I was just too far from the screen, might be worth seeing there if you sit in one of the normal seats nearer the screen.

The picture quality at the Odeon LS is fantastic, almost painfully sharp. Sound was OK, but could have been wider and deeper with more bass for my tastes.

Is there a site that lists all the DLP cinemas in the UK that are showing ROTS?
I would like to see it again, but don't fancy travelling to central London again.

I would have to say the Odeon Leicester Square too. Didn't have a probelm with the sound myself and the picture was pristine.

The Empire Leicester Square is a bigger cinema with a larger screen and more comfortable seats, at least in screen 1 anyway, which is where I saw Episode III first. I think that was projected by traditional means though and they aren't showing it now. It was a one off showing there as part of the marathon.

The last time I went to Odeon Leciester Square (to see The Fellowship Of The Ring) I didn't think the sound was very good at all - a lot of distortion on the dialogue. But they may have upgraded it since then.

Out of Empire, Odeon, and Vue, I'd say the best is Vue. I think screens 5&7 are THX (for what it's worth), pretty sure it's DLP too. It's also cleanest and most comfortable. The sound is by far the best (to my ears). But you may have to wait a while before they show it there.

What and where is Vue? You add it to the conversation, yet have given no deails of its whereabouts.

The cinema formerly known as "Warner Village West End", possibly?

Indeed. If you are going there then Screen 5 is the one to go for! :)

This link tells you where to find cinemas with DLP:
    http://www.dlp.com/dlp_cinema/default.asp

Looks like London and Manchester are the places to be...

I eventually found the above after a painfully long google search to find out where I could see RoTS on a digital screen!

According to theforce.net, there are four cinemas in the UK showing Ep3 using the digital format:

    Odeon Leicester Sq
    The Ritzy Cinema, Brixton
    UCI - The Filmworks, Manchester
    Cineworld Swindon
