What's the best head unit for iPhone charging and selection from thousands of tracks?

I want a new head unit because the current one doesn't charge my iPhone.
At the same time I want to be able to play tracks from the phone, and need to be able to easily select which of thousands of tracks from hundreds of folders to play.
Which is the best head unit for this?

What does your ipod say when you plug it into your existing headunit?
Can't remember if there was a message.
If there was, it would have been a standard message.

What car is it going in Stuart??

Can it take a double din unit?

I am using the Pioneer Appradio 2, and it does that pretty well.
Plus lets you run freenav off your iphone as well on the occasions you want nav.

The Pioneer 8300BT is also a good one as it has a colour screen so you can see artwork, and has bluetooth built in.

Because it means you haven't got wires hanging out the front of the unit making the car look messy.
