Want to get rid of my VCR and replace it with a new HD/DVD recorder for recording while Sky+ is recording some thing else and achieving from Sky+.

Cant wait for sky+ software to be upgrade to duel record.
And cant stand the quality of VHS.

Either the Panasonic HS2 or the Toshiba RXD3. Both are virtually the same featurewise - the Panasonic has a JPEG viewer whilst the Toshiba has a larger HDD (60GB). Both are excellent machines but the Toshiba is just a bit cheaper so I would say go for that.

They both have analogue tuners but not digital (there are currently no DVDRs with digital tuners). The best way to record from Sky+ though is Scart (set to RGB) from the TV out socket.
