whats the benefit of component in if it cant do progressive scan ??

    PS does anyone know how to get into the service menu for a Toshiba 32ZP18

    It's still a better quality than other methods of connection simply because it causes fewer conversions between one signal format and another .. it retains all the original picture information, such as colour levels etc, which can be lost when converting to, say, s-video ... or Heaven forbid composite.
